Cannot add new transactions

The problem happens recently. No matter I manually download activities or
use the automatic update services, I can't get any transactions displayed.
The "Items to review" on the left does say there are new transactions
arrived, they just don't show up. What should I do to fix the problem?

In Internet Explorer 7 delete your browser temporary files with
Tools->InternetOptions->(General:browsingHistory)Delete->DeleteFiles

Then in Money do File->RepairMoneyFile->QuickFileRepair again.

Then go to Tools->Settings->OnlineServiceSetting and
tick ShowStandardizedPayeeNamesForWhichANameIsNotFound.

Download again.

Re: Cannot add new transactions

I followed every step, but no luck. The "Items to Review" number is still
inconsistent with the actual new transactions shown.

What should I do now?

Click on "Items to Review" and process the transactions.

So is the number of "actual new transactions shown" something other
than zero?

Hi,

"Items to Review" on the left of each account register cannot be clicked.
When I click "Transactions to read" on the account list, it brings me back
to the corresponding account register.

It depends. Some accounts have new transactions (non-zero), most don't.
It seems to me no new transactions appear after a certain date. The new
transactions shown are just the ones I didn't read but downloaded before the
problem occurred.

I've been using Money for quite a long time. I remember the last huge
problem I encountered was related to category names. It looks like in the
earlier version, it'll cause problems if category names contains "&". Is the
problem this time related to category names again?

I was referring to the account list.

So accept the new transactions. See below.

Go to Tools->Settings->OnlineServiceSetting and
select ShowStandardizedPayeeNamesForWhichANameIsNotFound. This
is a global (inter-file) setting.

In Internet Explorer delete your browser temporary files with
Tools->InternetOptions->DeleteFiles or
Tools->InternetOptions->Delete->DeleteFiles.

Then in Money do File->RepairMoneyFile->QuickFileRepair again.

Download again.

Re: Cannot add new transactions

I did what you've said, but no luck again. I even tried to delete the entire
account and setup again. The "Items to Review" shows 41, but none of them
appears. The problem looks very terrible now.

What program are you using?

Right-click on "Items to Review" and Delete the statement. Better?

If not, is your financial institution described with the words
"third party" on http://www.microsoft.com/money/bankonline.aspx ?

Hi,

Money 2006 Deluxe.

I tried. Not working either.

My bank is on the list, but I don't think the problem is related to online
services. I tried to setup a new account WITHOUT online services, manually
downloaded transactions by saving the file in the computer. After the file
was imported into Money, it said "Import Completed" and there are 41
"Transactions to read" in the new account. Unfortunately, none of them
actually appears.

By not working, I guess you mean that selecting to delete does not
delete the items?

Try a File->RepairMoneyFile->StandardFileRepair level 2 and then
repeat the earlier sequence.

If that does not fix it, I would contact Microsoft support. Have
your serial number from Help->About handy as the product ID.
