Problems with Money 2008

Ok I was using Money 2006 and all of the sudden my Portfolio Manager goes
blank, nothing nada zilch. Investing home shows my investment accounts at
the top, but when I click Portfolio Manager it goes to the page and its all
blank except for the word Portfolio Manager. Any Ideas what the problem is?

Also I cannot see any of the financial institutions when setting up a new
account it just has a red triangle with ! in it that says the list is
temporaily unavailable. Please try again later. I tried all the suggestions
in the knowledge base I found on this problem and nothing worked.

I hope someone here can help me otherwise I just wasted $49.00 upgrading
from Money 2006 to Money 2008.

Thanks
Jeff

And a new question: you said "I tried all the suggestions
in the knowledge base I found on this problem". Impressive. What was
one of those KB articles?

Thanks.

1. Did you install Money Plus Deluxe from the retail disk?

2. When you do Help->About, what is the version number?

Start Money once by right-clicking the launch icon and choosing
RunAsAdmininistrator. See if that lets things work.

When you did Method 2 of
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/905695/en-us did you set up the
LiveID? That step appears to be use as a connectivity test.

Do you have some software firewall program that might be blocking
connectivity? If you boot Vista into Safe Mode with Networking, that
would start without that blocking. Does that work for you?

I have logged in with the LiveID for well over a year no problems till just
recently.

Running Norton Internet security for past year no problems. I even disabled
it completely tonight still no change.
I'm done messing with this for tonight. Funny how you can use a program for
years with no problems, then bam all of the sudden it doesn't work right
anymore.

There have been a lot of cases reported where "disabling" Norton did
not allow an operation but uninstalling did.

I suggest you try the Safe Mode with Networking, in that I think
that will cause Norton to not be running.
