Money 2007 running in Vista doesn't save entered transaction
I migrated Money 2007 to a new computer running Vista. Money appears to
work correctly, but it doesn't save new transactions on exit. For some reason the My Money.mny file reverts back to the file dated 1/27/08 which is the first date I ran M2007 in Vista. I can restore from the back up file and it works for the session, but the changes to the working file are lost on exit. Any assistance will be appreciated. |

Make sure the money data file is contained in Documents or a subdirectory, not a subdirectory of Program Files, or any other system directory. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL |

Re: Money 2007 running in Vista doesn't save entered transaction
Thanks for the response. I found a phantom file named My Money.mny with the
date stamp 1/27/08. I deleted the file and that appears to have solved the problem. Where is your current working file? I had to change the setting in Widows security alerts. Turning off user account protection fixed my problem ! |

That shouldn't be necessary and suggests the file is not in an intended location. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL |
