Outlook Express not displaying images in body
When forwarding an email which has an image in the body of the email to my
wife's niece who is using Outlook Express, she can see the text of the email but does not see the image. I had her click Options>Read and had her remove the checkmark in the "Read all messages in plain text", clicked Apply, clicked OK and closed Outlook Express. She rebooted her computer (to be on safe side), launched Outlook Express and accessed the email which has an image in the body - once again she could see the text but could the image was not being displayed. Any suggestions??? -- Pierre |

Re: Outlook Express not displaying images in body
Does this happen only with this one recipient? What if you forward to
yourself, or another? Tools | Options | Send | HTML Settings. Is Send pictures with messages checked on your machine? Do they see a red X? If they are using XP/SP2 or 3, have they unchecked "Block images..............."? Does the picture show in your Sent Items? If they check the message source, (Ctrl+F3), do they see the encoding for the picture? If not, it was not in the message for them to see. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "Pierre" <pcastric@aol.com> wrote in message news:E9CDAB37-909E-4374-86F2-A5EC0BF9460A@microsoft.com... > When forwarding an email which has an image in the body of the email to my > wife's niece who is using Outlook Express, she can see the text of the > but does not see the image. > > I had her click Options>Read and had her remove the checkmark in the "Read > all messages in plain text", clicked Apply, clicked OK and closed Outlook > Express. Re: Outlook Express not displaying images in body
If you forward the same message to yourself, what do you see?

RE: Outlook Express not displaying images in body
I too experience problems when I forward email, Outlook Express comes up with an error message "Cannot find one or more of the pictures, it is possible pictures will not be sent". This is really irratating and I can't get to the bottom of it. Re: Outlook Express not displaying images in body
Thanks for the information. I sent a message to myself and it came out ok.
I will be visiting wife's neice sometime soon as will verify her settings as noted and will get back to you. -- Pierre "Bruce Hagen" wrote: > Does this happen only with this one recipient? Re: Outlook Express not displaying images in body
I'd asked you to forward the same message to yourself. If you did so, the
problem is not on your end, Pierre.
