Saving Newsgroup Posts to Windows Folder

Hi,

I'm using OE as my newsgroup reader. I save my posts to a dedicated email
folder, but the disadvantage is that the message thread ends up in "pieces".

What are the steps to saving them to a regular Windows folder, with the .nws
extension. Also, will it keep the original question and replies together?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Saving Newsgroup Posts to Windows Folder

I think you have the same problem in a Windows folder. What you can do is to
save them like you do, but when you go there, click View | Current View and
check Group Messages By Conversation.

You would need to uncheck it for regular mail. I believe there is a keyboard
shortcut, but it eludes me at the moment.

Assuming a user-created local OE folder: View | Current view | Group
messages by conversation.

NWS messages saved in a Windows folder cannot be "grouped by conversation"
so yes, that's a drawback.
