Large attachments
I run OE6 and Windows XP Professional. I have no problem receiving emails
with large attachments, e.g. with .pps and .wmv extensions. However, when I forward the same emails, they are usually sent in two parts and some of the recipients are unable to open these attachments. Why are these attachments split into two and why cant they be opened? What can be done to help the recipients to open these large attachments? |

Usually this limit is one megabyte (1 MB) per message, including all attached files. With Outlook Express, you can send large messages or files to e-mail and news servers that have size limits, by breaking the messages into smaller ones. When the group of messages is received, the e-mail program combines them into one message. 1.. On the Tools menu, click Accounts. 2.. On either the Mail or News tab, click Properties. 3.. On the Advanced tab, select the Break apart messages larger than x KB check box and then enter the maximum file size the server will allow. To resolve your problem, you will need to untick the "Break apart messages larger than" box - or increase the maximum file size to the maximum your ISP's mail server will allow. |
