Partical form showing up
Whenever I bring up a new form to compose mail or click 'reply' on an
existing open form the new form starts to open and it shows only the outline of the form then there is a hesitation, perhaps 5 seconds, before the rest of the form fills in and displays itself and I can start to type the message. I've only notice this happening in OE and no other programs. Is there a fix for this? I'm using OE6. |

Re: Partical form showing up
Does *form* define as a new message window?
You may have a damaged identity especially if it is the default Main Identity. File | Identity | Add New Identity. Create a new one and test it. If all is well, you can import your messages and Address Book from the old identity and delete it. Re: Partical form showing up
You hit the nail right on the head with that 'fix' as that seems to be the problem as the new or reply message window pop right up - Many thanks. Now I have imported the address book but I'm trying to import mail and news group accounts. When trying to import mail accounts I can't seem to get the wizard to point to OE instead of Outlook and the wizard can't find any of the news accounts. Do I need to manually add them to the identify. I can't seem to find info on this. Re: Partical form showing up
Newsgroups neither import, nor export. You can go to Tools | Accounts | News
in your old ID and export the account to a folder on your HDD and then import them while in your new ID, but you will have to resubscribe to the individual groups. For your messages: In the old identity, compact all your folders first. In the new identity: File | Import | Messages. Select Microsoft Outlook Express 6 and Import from the old identity. You don't need the wizard. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "Gene" <no_one@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:OLmqg0b6IHA.1204@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... > > You hit the nail right on the head with that 'fix' as that seems to be the > problem as the new or reply message window pop right up - Many thanks. Re-created all accounts, etc. in the new identity and deleted the main ID.
