out-of-office reply in recipient's subject line
How does one set up out-of-office reply so that the subject line that
get's sent back to recipient says "out-of-office reply"? Not just the content of the email? There may not be a way with OE - but any other XP program? Chris |

Re: out-of-office reply in recipient's subject line
While you're OOF, possibly for days at a time, do you want to (1) leave your
computer running, (2) connected to the internet, (3) with OE also running and (4) configured to poll for new messages on a schedule and then (5) reply to /every/ incoming message, (6) including spam (which confirms your email address to the spammers and tells criminals you're away)? If so, I can tell you how... -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Desktop Experience - since 2002 AumHa VSOP & Admin http://aumha.net DTS-L http://dts-l.net/ Chris23 wrote: > How does one set up out-of-office reply so that the subject line that > get's sent back to recipient says "out-of-office reply"? Re: out-of-office reply in recipient's subject line
It's not a good idea. When you receive spam, your auto reply will respond
to it. And, since most spammers addresses are either forged, false, or using someone else's, you will end up in an endless loop...which could eventually cause your email account to be closed down.
