All new mails are automatically marked as read when in fact they are not.
How can I fix this? Any help appreciated.

Do you have any rules configured? Does it happen for all users or just one?
Does it happen regardless of whether you click on the message or not? Does
it happen if you shut outlook down completely and look at OWA?
