Windows Live Messenger on the PPC won't connect
I sign in with the same credentials that work on desktop Messenger but I get
an error message that it has failed to connect. HTC TyTn II with WM 6.1 with internet connection using settings for UK O2 PAYG tarriff I searched and saw some posts on various forums saying others have experienced this problem. Something to do with a sync problem with your desktop WLM contacts or problems trying to sync with your desktop picture. I removed the latter but I still have the problem. I also had the same problem on my previous PDA running WM 5. Anyone know a fix please? Thanks Peter |

Re: Windows Live Messenger on the PPC won't connect
I think it's solved. It's working now .
I switched last week from PAYG to a contract. The former PAYG service used a proxy server in connection settings. The new settings don't rely on a proxy server any more. Could that be the reason? My data plan uses a proxy and several apps have failed to connect through it, including WLM, but will connect if I use WiFi. |
