Clock and Time zone
I have a problem with my device HTC Tytn II.
I setup as time zone, Berlin, Rome... GMT+1. In my PC I have the same time. Everytime I found my PDA with a different time zone, Zamibia GMT+1 but the time is one hour lower the initial an true time. For example I put Rome GMT+1 21:00, after 2 hours, I find Namibia GMT+1 22:00 (it will be 23:00) The problem is not the Activesync, because my PC is ok, and I find the bad time zone even if I do not connet the PDA to PC. I supposed it was due to PocketWeather, but it is not the option to verify the system clock, automatically, because if I deselect it, the time is not true again. If I stop the upgrade of the weather the problem doesn't disappear. Is it a problem common to other user? Thanks -- fcasoli - Italy ______________________ Device HTC TyTN Windows Mobile 5 powered |

Usually it's because the mobile operator is overriding the time (incorrectly, in this case. ) Go to Start/Settings/Phone and see if there's a "Time Zones" tab, then uncheck the "Automatically Change Time Zone and Clock" box. Now reset the time and zone manually to the correct time and see if it resets again. Some mobile operators hide the "time zone" tab, which requires unhiding it with a registry hack. |
