I have a HTC P4300 with WM5 and use it as a modem all the time. I found one thing out for myself. It works better if you establish an internet connection from your phone before you run the program called "Modem Link." |

You could try this manual:

Re: Pocket PC as a laptop modem
I know the subject says "as a laptop modem" but I like to show people I can
use my PocketPC/phone as a PocketPC modem for a Pocket PC that doesn't have it's own internet connection. I read about how to do that at the bottom of the following page: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...bluetooth.mspx "Jaap van Ekris (MVP)" <nospam@nospam.com> wrote in message news:Ocz8kBqfIHA.4164@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > You could try this manual: > http://modernnomads.info/wiki/index....or+your+laptop > > -- > Jaap van Ekris > Microsoft MVP Mobile Devices > http://modernnomads.info > "Roger 2008" <rwpcs@att.net> wrote in message > news:QuidnQD72rkb6VbanZ2dnUVZ_oqhnZ2d@giganews.com ... > > > > "Yidaho" <paulyidaho@aol.com> wrote in message > > news:7575F442-0E15-49D5-B39C-F32E56B730A3@microsoft.com... > >> Hi, > >> > >> I have T-mobile Vario II PPC (WM5) also known as a Hermes 300 (I think) > > and > >> was wondering if I could connect this to a laptop and use it as a laptop > >> modem.
