What does enrolling your phone in a domain do?

I see a new icon - enroll your phone in the domain - what does that do?

I already have my phone set for active sync from our exchange server.

Re: What does enrolling your phone in a domain do?

Hello,

In Windows Mobile 6.1 that is to allow you to manage the device via the new
Mobile Device Manager 2008 product by associating it with the domain.

If you're interested in it, take a look at
http://www.microsoft.com/systemcente...e/default.mspx . Info has just
started to come out this week, more should be coming in the weeks ahead!
