What is the desktop sync software that is comparable to activesync for
WIndows 2008? I imagine it is the same as Vista but I believe Vista is
built in.

It has been a while since I've really used all the features in Vista
although I did test SP1 and it is still slow. I read WIndows Server 2008
is faster even though it is basically Vista in many ways - well they seem to
be right. I'm running 2008 and it is much snappier in some ways than
Vista.
