Send/Receive emails from Emulator ...
Hi,
I am trying to send/receive an email on my Windows Mobile device. Prior to test that on the actual device, I want to test it on the Emulators that comes with VS 2008. When I try to open outlook and send an email on the Emulator, it fails. Does any knows, is it poosible to create emails on the emulator and if yes, how to set it up for such usage. Thanks, *(Vipul)() ; |

OK, so the reason is very well clear now. It is that emulator doesn't have
network connectivity. I want to have network connectivity in emulator without using ActiveSync. Does any one knows clear steps to enable network connectivity in Windows Mobile 6 emulator ? Re: Send/Receive emails from Emulator ...
With my emulator, 6.1, I had to add a proxy server.
Open Settings and tap the Connections tab. Tap the Connections Icon. Tap Add a proxy server. Be sure to check both boxes and then tap the Advanced button. Tap HTTP twice. Fill in the IP of your local router. Leave the Port at 80. My router does not need name or password but I use my desk info anyway. Tap OK Tap OK Tap OK Tap OK Close Settings (x) Open the File menu (just above the emualator) Click reset and soft When your emulator resets, open ie and try to surf. I also always cradle my emulator as well. From visual studio, open tools, device emulator manager and locate your running emulator (signaled by the green triangle icon) and right click over it. hope this helps "Vipul Pathak" <vpathak_NoSpam@boxtoneRemoveThis.com> wrote in message news:OT7d6vjwIHA.1436@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > OK, so the reason is very well clear now.
