prevent user from changing active sync config

Hi NG,

Exchange 2003 SP2 and Windows Mobile 6 devices:
Is it possible to prevent user to change active sync configuration.
Means: Admins make initial configuration and user do not have the chance to
manipulate the active sync config. Neither exchange server nor local
(Outlook) settings...
We want the user not to configure to synchronize contact information.

Thanks for input
from Berlin

Re: prevent user from changing active sync config

Hi,
You may want to look at System Center Mobile Device Manager from Microsoft.
It allows you to control the users's settings.

Sincerely,

Chris,

thanks for the hint.
I can only find, that users can prevent from sync via desktop (prevent PIM
access).
But you can simply confige to sync contacts via OTA. Or do I misunderstand
the policy?

Hi,
You can prevent them from synchornizing with the desktop. Also, you can
still allow them to sync OTA via Exchange ActiveSync.
