WMDC & Outlook 2007

Are there any patches or downloads that will let me combine the information
on my phone and PC. The WMDC has only two options info from phone to pc or
from pc to phone. There is no option to combine. HELP!!

Re: WMDC & Outlook 2007

Hi Sharon,

Synchronization compares the data on your mobile device with the data on
your PC and updates both the devices with the most recent information to
keep both of them upto date. So effectively it is combining the information
ensuring data on the PC is available for you on your device and the other
way round.

The options that you are speaking of are invoked when you edit the *SAME*
data content (Contact, Appointment, File etc...) on your mobile device and
the computer. During synchronization, this action would result as a
conflict where WMDC does not know which copy of data is to be updated on the
device/computer. It will then check for conflict-resolution settings that
you have selected and proceed.

So if it were Phone to PC, then phone info replaces the PC data and
vice-versa.

Re: WMDC & Outlook 2007

Thanks Raj I understand but with the new WMDC and 2007 it just isn't working
like that. When I logged into another user name on the same computer by
accident, and did the sync, it deleted all the info on my phone as there was
no info on that log in of outlook.

I think I may need to be just very careful.

Re: WMDC & Outlook 2007

What you'll soon discover (if you haven't already) is that WMDC is a
promotional tool for the iPhone
