Problem with synch between iPAQ h2200 and Outlook 2000

I have encountered a problem with the synchronisation between my handheld HP
iPAQ h2200 and desktop running Outlook 2000 (9.0.0.2711) via Microsoft
ActiveSync 3.7.1 (build 3244). When trying to synch, a large (1000+) number
of calendar events were reported as not being synched. I asked the program
to do so, but it came back with a number of items to resolve. All were
calendar events involving people who are no longer with the company. It
appears likely that the desktop was offline when attempting the first
synchronisation. I also have a number of calendar events duplicated. One
event is as expected, the duplicate has the same content but lists me as the
organiser and only attendee.

Can anyone suggest an approach to bring everything back in line again ?

TIA
John.

Re: Problem with synch between iPAQ h2200 and Outlook 2000

Hi,
ActiveSync expects that everyone invited to a meeting is in your contacts.
At this point there is no fix for it.

Also, Outlook 2000 is no longer supported with the latest version of
ActiveSync or WMDC so be careful upgrading.
