I have a single Exchange 2003 server and I am trying to sync a Windows
Mobile 5 device wirelessly with ActiveSync. When I try to sync, I receive
the error "ActiveSync encountered an error on the server..0x85010014".

I read through KB817379, however the solution involves disabling SSL. There
must be a way to get this working without disabling SSL. Afterall, when you
enter the servername on the device, there is a check box below that says
"This server requires an encrypted SSL connection".

Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

Hi,
You should be able to export the Outlook Web Access (OWA) cert from the
Exchange server and install it on your Windows Mobile device. The cert must
be in .DER format.
