Partnership gone!

I am trying to sync my Dell Axim to my laptop and have upgraded to activesync
4.5.
The connection is seen by the computer. Plugging in in the Axim will start
activesync, but I can not get it to see the partnership. I have literally
spent a day. Disconnecting, rebooting, deleting software, reinstalling
software, doing all the Dell and Microsoft fixes and nothing has changed. I
also upgraded my isp to DSL from dial up recently if that could be a problem,
but in control panel - network the mobile device seems to be comfigured
correctly under high speed. On the computer activesync it says NO
PARTNERSHIP and that seems to be the problem. If I run troubleshooter and
disconnect the Axim from the USB cable it says USB available. If I connect
the Axim it says connected, but it seems not to see the device only that it
is connected. I'm frustrated and would appreciate any help I can get! I'm
thanking any of you out there for your input.

Re: Partnership gone!

Hi,
"Upgrading" to ActiveSync 4.5 is a misnomer. There is no upgrade function
within the application.

Instead it deletes all existing partnerships as part of the design.

You will have to setup a new partnership. You may have to open ActiveSync
on your Axim and elete the partnership in order to connect.
