Problems syncing HTC Diamond and outlook 2007

Hi,

i have recently bought a new HTC Diamond (before I had HTC Touch). When I
connected it to my laptop (Vista SP1, office 2007) nothing happend. I started
WDMC (ver 6.1.6965) but there is only "not connected". When I insted try to
use it as a USB-memory or as a modem it works fine.
I had uninstalled all applications (WDMC, the phone driver) and tried again,
but it still dont works. (Have even tried to connect using BT, I had tried to
close Antivirus and windows firewall)
Any suggestion what to try?

/Jonas

Try this:

On your device, go to Start > Settings > Connection > USB to PC.
Uncheck "Advanced network functionality" and connect the device to
sync again.

Re: Problems syncing HTC Diamond and outlook 2007

Hi Linley,

thanks for your answer. I will test this later on (i saw on the device that
it was checked). While I was waiting for answer here, I go down to my work
and tested against my PC, and it worked immedetly. I have Vista and outlook
2007 also there, why?

That´s already

Re: Problems syncing HTC Diamond and outlook 2007

Hi,
I got a new HTC Touch Diamond phone, I could sync with Windows XP by
installaing Active Sync 4.5 but I can do the same for Windows 2000 SP4.
Seeking assistance. HTC Touch Diamond is running on Windows Mobile 6.1.

RE: Problems syncing HTC Diamond and outlook 2007

I have the same problem, WDMC ver 6.1.6965 won't recognize my HTC Diamond and
with configuration Vista SP1 (laptop). "Advanced network functionality"
didn't help. Any idea how to fix it? Thank you.
