Problem with AS and Desktop Pass Through
Hi,
my smartphone (SAMSUNG i780) / WM6 is connected via USB to my Desktop PC (Win XP prof). My desktop PC is connected to the internet via DSL cable router. I followed AS help and connections setting are configured as "This computer is connected to: Internet". However when I open IE on the mobile device I can't establish a connection to the internet, IE reports an error "Invalid address". Can anyone advice on how to configure Desktop Pass Through? I have allready add the key "AllowLSP"=dword:0 " to the registry. Disabling the firewall didn't help. Appreciate any thoughts, Thanks Bodo |

Re: Problem with AS and Desktop Pass Through
Hi,
In ActiveSync, did you setup the connection to connect to The Internet from Auto? This is done in the File - Connection Settings dialog box. Did you allow the network connection via USB from the desktop to the Pocket PC to connect to the internet through the software firewall? -- Chris De Herrera http://www.pocketpcfaq.com http://www.pocketpctalk.com http://www.tabletpctalk.com http://www.mobilitytalk.com "Bodo" <1> wrote in message news:%23T861KdAJHA.3756@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > Hi, > my smartphone (SAMSUNG i780) / WM6 is connected via USB to my Desktop PC > (Win XP prof). > My desktop PC is connected to the internet via DSL cable router. > > I followed AS help and connections setting are configured as "This > computer is connected to: Internet". > > However when I open IE on the mobile device I can't establish > a connection to the internet, IE reports an error "Invalid address". > > Can anyone advice on how to configure Desktop Pass Through? > > I have allready add the key "AllowLSP"=dword:0 " to the registry. > Disabling the firewall didn't help. > > Appreciate any thoughts, > Thanks > Bodo > |
