Opening .ppt files in slideshow mode, but having them remain edita
I am using Powerpoint 2007 and trying to open .ppt files so that they open in
slideshow mode. I would, however, like the files to remain editable, therefore the .pps file extension will not work here. Anyone have any insight on this one? |

PPS files, contrary to popular belief, are fully editable.
You just have to open PPT and then File | Open (or Office Button | Open) and navigate to the PPS. Then edit at will. If you double-click a PPS, of course it opens in slide show view. This is apparently why many people think that PPS files cannot be edited. -- Echo [MS PPT MVP] http://www.echosvoice.com What's new in PPT 2007? http://www.echosvoice.com/2007.htm Fixing PowerPoint Annoyances http://tinyurl.com/36grcd PowerPoint 2007 Complete Makeover Kit http://tinyurl.com/32a7nx "kjpalmer21" <kjpalmer21@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:64C33885-D12B-4A58-BF46-5D939C70DE6A@microsoft.com... >I am using Powerpoint 2007 and trying to open .ppt files so that they open >in > slideshow mode. Re: Opening .ppt files in slideshow mode, but having them remain e
Great. This may solve the problem, but it would be even better if I could
alter the settings to the PPT file to cause it to open in the slideshow mode, but then be easilty collapsed to the normal view to allow for editing. This doesn't seem to be an option when I play around with the settings.
