or have you a sound inserted? And which version of Powerpoint do you have?

Dennisl,
As Pia said we could use some more info. If you can't find the music, most
probably it is attachted to the slide transition. Activate the slide
transition task pane, at the bottom next to sound you will find the music
file, just click on the listarrow and choose no sound.
Also it may be that the music icon has been dragged off the slide into the
grey surrounding area, or has been hidden behind another object.
