html slide show in vista

I have converted a PP slideshow to html. it works fine from computers using
both IE6 and 7 from XP but the sound clips don't start when viewing from
Vista. I have set the site as trusted on a Vista machine and that doesn't
help.

One thing I notice, when I access the show from Vista, the "need new plugin"
bar shows and I allow it to install. But the next time I access the page, it
asks for the same plugin again.

lewmur,I don't know if I could help you.
I wonder if your ppt file was played on the same machine. If your PowerPoint
presentation with sound file is taken to another machine, make sure to take
the sound file with PowerPoint file together, besides, the sound file and the
PowerPoint file is in the same folder and move the sound file.
If you don’t want to do this, try to embed the sound file into PowerPoint.(

You must have missed the html reference in my post. The show has not been
copied to any machine. It is viewed ONLINE. The problem appears to be that
Vista will not allow automatic loading of audio files from the Internet. You
must click the speaker ICON. Why you should have to do this on a Trusted
site, I don't know.
