How to make my own image a background for a slide.

How can I make my own background in a slide useing one of my images? I would
also like to know if it was possible to tint the image being used.

You need to add your photo to your slide master. Which version of PPT are you
using?

RE: How to make my own image a background for a slide.

Image on slide master:

Go to View > Slide Master. Go to Insert > Picture. Browse to the desired
picture, select it then hit insert.

To change the tint, select the picture.
In the ribbon, go to Format. At the left you'll see an option for recolor.
You can choose from multiple variations of color/tints.
