Resource Allocation
I am currently working on a plan and am challenged by the over-allocation of
recources. One thing I find peculiar is that while I have entered non-working days for each resources I have instances for all where they are available for work with work to be done but they are not allocated. Any thoughts on why this is happening? |

Re: Resource Allocation
Hello rutlledbr,
Have you used the resource leveling command to resolve the resource overallocation? If so, bear in mind that the resource leveling command will not "optimize" the resource schedule. If you've assigned resources at less than his/her maximum units to a task and that task was delayed by leveling, the task will still remain at the original assignment value. When you resource level, any task predecessor/successor relationships are also still respected. If a task gets delayed, any successor tasks will also be adjusted. That may create "gaps" in work flow for some resources. I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
