2003 or 2007 ? pc version on server ?
Newbie question:
Small biz- one person has MS project on his laptop. Others are now asking him to 'do things in Project' and he has no time , so .... Can they buy/install another single user version on their workgroup server ( not server version - just using workgroup server as PC) and have it work from the console ? At no time will more than one person use it. Seems like an obvious NO but since I'd never tried - I said I'd check. ( family) I guess they looked at buying server version: not thinking about licensing - and they saw that it's $3500 and about $900 per client. They're only going to use it every few months, so for that money they'll buy another PC/laptop just dedicated to Project use. Also I browsed online and see Project 2003 as well as 2007 for sale - and 2003 is more money ! Any reason/advantage to getting 2003 over 2007 ? Thanks |
