Re: how do i import a psd image
That's a Photoshop format. If you have Photoshop, save it as a different
type, such as .gif. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] Tech Editor for "Microsoft Publisher 2007 For Dummies" "CKESSEXGOV" <CKESSEXGOV@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:1D112647-6AED-4DEF-8C06-38270011F6CD@microsoft.com... >I have a logo to import, it has rounded bottom corners. the box behind is > white and this shows when the logo is place onto a coloured background. is > there a way of importing a psd piece of art into word or publisher? |

Re: how do i import a psd image
If you don't have Photoshop, www.irfanview.com can open a .psd image. It is a
free program, get the plug-ins too. Open the image, save as a different format such as .png (.png supports transparency). Publisher and Word have a transparency tool you can use to make the white background transparent. -- Mary Sauer MSFT MVP http://office.microsoft.com/ http://msauer.mvps.org/ news://msnews.microsoft.com "CKESSEXGOV" <CKESSEXGOV@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:1D112647-6AED-4DEF-8C06-38270011F6CD@microsoft.com... >I have a logo to import, it has rounded bottom corners. the box behind is > white and this shows when the logo is place onto a coloured background. is > there a way of importing a psd piece of art into word or publisher? |

Infanview (4.10) also creates transparencies. -- Don Vancouver, USA "Mary Sauer" <mary-sauer@mycolumbus.rr.com> wrote in message news:ewiD4EGrIHA.4788@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > If you don't have Photoshop, www.irfanview.com can open a .psd image. Re: how do i import a psd image
I so seldom use Irfanview for anything but viewing. I have Corel Photo-Paint I
use for everyday stuff. I'll have to remember Irfanview does transparency. The Paint.NET is very good and it is free too. It has a nifty Sepia tool. www.getpaint.net -- Mary Sauer MSFT MVP http://office.microsoft.com/ http://msauer.mvps.org/ news://msnews.microsoft.com "Don Schmidt" <Don Engineer@PNB.Retired_1987> wrote in message news:O_6dnUbhOMPHDIbVnZ2dnUVZ_vyinZ2d@palinacquisi tion... > Mary, > > Infanview (4.10) also creates transparencies. > > > -- > Don > Vancouver, USA > > > "Mary Sauer" <mary-sauer@mycolumbus.rr.com> wrote in message > news:ewiD4EGrIHA.4788@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... >> If you don't have Photoshop, www.irfanview.com can open a .psd image.
