Re: Help...Pattern Fill for lines with Vista
What about fill patterns?

Re: Help...Pattern Fill for lines with Vista
Hello Anne,
I would suggest you need to update your printer driver. If you have to go into pattern fills for your fills to print correctly then it is more than likely a printer issue. Vista would have nothing to do with Publisher only inasmuch it dictates how a printer driver works. You said in your earlier post you have this problem with Word too, that is a good indication of a printer driver failure. Go to the manufacturer's web site and look around for an updated driver. -- Mary Sauer MSFT MVP http://office.microsoft.com/ http://msauer.mvps.org/ news://msnews.microsoft.com "annieuk" <annieuk@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:9A58A050-5E97-4AF0-AF86-424581CCC460@microsoft.com... > Pattern Fill for lines with Vista posted below please... > > Anne. |

Re: Help...Pattern Fill for lines with Vista
Hello Mary,
I shall have a look... but it's an HP printer, and HP have not been too helpful with regard to Vista. I presume that any new driver updates will have to accomodate Vista... I'll let you know! Anne. Re: Help...Pattern Fill for lines with Vista
Hello Mary,
I am too scared to even select the HP option to see if my printer driver needs updating, in case it starts updating spontaneously... and messies everything else up. I am awaiting an email response, but shan't hold my breath. In fact, as the printer worked OK on XP with an earlier version of Publisher, without me having to go through that process, it could be related to either Vista or Publisher 2007. Anne. Re: Help...Pattern Fill for lines with Vista
Hello Mary,
My printer is a Deskjet 1280. I have tried emailing HP but only get automated replies that just send me around in circles. I have tried their forum, but the posts are all from users, and I have had no response anyway... I would prefer not use a dotted line, and use a grey one instead, rather than perhaps loose all the other printing facilities. Thank you. If you could just tell me if there is an update available, then I can decide what to do... I don't suppose they list things that have been changed in a update... Anne. Re: Help...Pattern Fill for lines with Vista
Anne, There is a Vista driver on the HP web site with a July 2007 timestamp for
your printer. If this is not the driver you are using I suggest you try it. The installation of drivers are pretty straightforward. Most of the time driver updates will fix problems reported such as yours. http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...&swEnvOID=2093 -- Mary Sauer MSFT MVP http://office.microsoft.com/ http://msauer.mvps.org/ news://msnews.microsoft.com "annieuk" <annieuk@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:4FB44BB3-C04A-4C78-81B0-1D135F0D406A@microsoft.com... > Hello Mary, > > My printer is a Deskjet 1280. > > I have tried emailing HP but only get automated replies that just send me > around in circles. Hello Mary,
Thank you for all your extra help beyond your role, but guess what?... I can't get it running... I shall use a grey line... and never buy HP again. Anne. Anne, I'm sorry you cannot get black lines. Have you changed the options in the
Commercial printing, sometimes these settings get changed. Do you have a setting on your HP for best printing?
