Visio 2007 Error Upon Exit
Hi,
Each time I exit from Visio 2007, an error occurs stating that MS Visio has stopped working and needs to be restarted. I surfed the web and realised that the problem can be resolved by disabling the Send to Bluetooth COM Add-Ins. However, when I attempt to remove/deselect the Add-In, a dislog box pops up saying "The connected state of Office Add-Ins registered in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE cannot be changed". May I know how to go above resolving this problem? Would be great if anyone can help. Running on Vista Business, Visio 2007. Thank you!! iz. |

Re: Visio 2007 Error Upon Exit
I think that this is due to permission.
Are you an Administrator? Try logging in as an Administrator, or start Visio as an Administrator "izaaco" <izaaco@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:15D9C558-E362-47DB-ADD7-F489E28542E9@microsoft.com... > Hi, > > Each time I exit from Visio 2007, an error occurs stating that MS Visio > has > stopped working and needs to be restarted. > > I surfed the web and realised that the problem can be resolved by > disabling > the Send to Bluetooth COM Add-Ins. > > However, when I attempt to remove/deselect the Add-In, a dislog box pops > up > saying "The connected state of Office Add-Ins registered in > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE cannot be changed". > > May I know how to go above resolving this problem? > > Would be great if anyone can help. > > Running on Vista Business, Visio 2007. > > Thank you!! > > iz. -- David Parker Microsoft MVP (Visio) http://bvisual.spaces.live.com http://www.visualizinginformation.com |

Re: Visio 2007 Error Upon Exit
Hi David,
Thank you so much. It worked!! Previously I was running Visio as an administrator but that did not helped. I had to go into program files, MS Office, right click on Visio and run as administrator before I can disable the bluetooth COM Add-In. Now Visio can finally exit with errors. Sometimes Vista's security measures can really get on my nerves. Thanx so much!! =) iz "David Parker" wrote: > I think that this is due to permission. > Are you an Administrator? > Try logging in as an Administrator, or start Visio as an Administrator > > "izaaco" <izaaco@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:15D9C558-E362-47DB-ADD7-F489E28542E9@microsoft.com... > > Hi, > > > > Each time I exit from Visio 2007, an error occurs stating that MS Visio > > has > > stopped working and needs to be restarted. > > > > I surfed the web and realised that the problem can be resolved by > > disabling > > the Send to Bluetooth COM Add-Ins. > > > > However, when I attempt to remove/deselect the Add-In, a dislog box pops > > up > > saying "The connected state of Office Add-Ins registered in > > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE cannot be changed". > > > > May I know how to go above resolving this problem? > > > > Would be great if anyone can help. > > > > Running on Vista Business, Visio 2007. > > > > Thank you!! > > > > iz. > > -- > David Parker > Microsoft MVP (Visio) > http://bvisual.spaces.live.com > http://www.visualizinginformation.com > > |
