SNMP Service don't start
Hi to all,
I have a problem with SNMP Service on a Windows 2003 SP2. I have installed the service but this don't start and gives back the following message: The SNMP Service service on local computer started and then stopped. Some service stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example the Performance Logs and Alert Services. Also I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the service through "Add/Remove Application" but does not change nothing. Someone knows what I can control? Thanks! Carlo |

Re: SNMP Service don't start
Hi Carlo,
Please check the event viewer on why the service stopped. You might want to then check www.eventid.net on the error. -- Jabez Gan Microsoft MVP: Windows Server http://www.msblog.org "Carlo" <Carlo@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:41B8D16F-0C24-45C9-975F-5D6EFA92867D@microsoft.com... > Hi to all, > I have a problem with SNMP Service on a Windows 2003 SP2. > I have installed the service but this don't start and gives back the > following message: > > The SNMP Service service on local computer started and then stopped. Re: SNMP Service don't start
I don't have error on event log.
When I try to start the service I don't have errors but only this event: 1. Source: ServiceControlManager Event ID: 7035 Message: The SNMP Service service was successfully sent a start control 2. Source: ServiceControlManager Event ID: 7036 Message: The SNMP Service service entered the stopped state 3. Source: SNMP Event ID: 1003 Message: The SNMP Service service stopped successfully Carlo "Jabez Gan [MVP]" wrote: > Hi Carlo, > > Please check the event viewer on why the service stopped.
