Time server
I have looked at kb article 816042 which describes how to configure
authoritative time server in W2003 by making several registry entries. But, I also see a post which says all you have to do is issue the following commands: w32tm /config /syncfromflags:MANUAL /manualpeerlist:fqdn.of.the.time.server w32tm /config /update This seems a lot simpler but is it correct ?? Thanks |

Re: Time server
I followed the whole process adding in extra time servers as the supplied
time server often does not respond. I haven't had any issues since. Re: Time server
Hello Dave,
It is correct: http://technet2.microsoft.com/Window....mspx?mfr=true w32tm /config /manualpeerlist eers /syncfromflags:manual /reliable:yes /updateWith "peers" you can set the time source, either DNS name (time.windows.com) or an ip address from a reliable time source.
