Hello all,

OS: Windows 2000 Advanced Server
SP: Told it was SP4 but not sure
Problems: (1) On reboot hangs at "Preparing network connections", (2) Does
not allow me to boot in Safe Mode (by pressing F8 when prompted).

Any ideas?

Wow. The F8 button on the keyboard was not working. Got another keyboard and
now I'm in safe mode. Will apply a fix suggested by MS
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/266132) and will post back here with updates.

You know it's a good day when you waste an hour figuring out why you can't
get into Safe Mode only to find out your keyboard's F8 button's not working.
