Trouble logging on after upgrade
I'm upgrading from NT to 2003. Everything is smooth except for one thing.
Computers that recognized the old domain can't find the new one when I try to log on. However, if I set up a new computer to be part of mydomain.mycorp.com they log on just fine. The NT domain controller was originally just mydomain. And we had XP machines set up to log into mydomain.mycorp.com. When I upgraded, it asked me to put the full name of the domain, so I typed in mydomain.mycorp.com. Now shouldn't these XP machines be able to log onto it instantly without me having to re-find the domain under the properties menu in my computer? Or am I doing something wrong? |

RE: Trouble logging on after upgrade
Nope, everything in the ipconfig looks completely normal. The odd thing is
that I was able to get it to connect after I rebooted the pc. But then when I tried to hook the thing back up to the actual network (not my test stuff) it wouldn't sync back up with the real domain. So none of my shares or trusts would work for the computer I was using to log on. Even after restarts. I just had it rejoin the same domain and it worked, but I'm wondering why it didn't auto configure after a restart like it did beforehand.
