OEM to Volume License issue
I have a copy of Windows 2003 OEM on a Dell server. I need to move it to
another server without rebuilding. I understand the licensing issue with this, however I have a copy ofvolume license that I just purchased. The problem is when I image the server it wants me to reactivate the license, it fails when I do. How do I change the license type of the OEM to make it VL? I have heard the idea of "upgrading" but I think I am going to have an issue because my media is older than what is on the server. I am almost certain it is going to come back with a complaint on that. Any help is appreiciated. PS I ant all to understand, I am legal, I purchase the VL I just need to OEM to be changed so it can be moved. Thanks again. |
