RE: Error During a Paging Operation
Information about Event ID 51 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/244780
Hope the above KB article can be of some help to you. Did you use "image restore" method on this harddisk before? The above error could occur when you restore an image that is slightly larger than the physical disk. If this is the senario, back up your data and reformat the disk is the only way out. -- HTH Marty "Calvin" wrote: > Hello, > > I got warning from the event viewer which said "an error was detected on > device \device\harddisk0 during a paging operation". Re: Error During a Paging Operation
Well, seems like it...
Backup your data first before you attempt to repair the problem. -- HTH Marty "Calvin" wrote: > Thanks Marty, > > Additional info just found is that there are some bad stripes in the logical > drive.... is rebuild the logical drive and reinstall the OS my only choice? > > Calvin > > "mformarty" <mformarty@donotspam.msn.com> wrote in message > news:09FE5393-D0FD-43D8-AE1B-0C219B0FFA8D@microsoft.com... > > Information about Event ID 51 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/244780 > > Hope the above KB article can be of some help to you. > > > > Did you use "image restore" method on this harddisk before? > > The above error could occur when you restore an image that is slightly > > larger than the physical disk.
