I have not seen an msi for sp3 yet but figure there is one. |

That being said, I'd be a little concerned about a network of any size without a patch deployment system of some sort, and WSUS is both easy and free. |

Howdie!
Thomas Sonderman schrieb: > is there a way to push XP sp3 from a 2003 server? If I remember right, there was a MSI package for SP2 on XP. At least you could unpack the exe to an administrative installation point. Apart from that, I'm not sure if I wanted my machines download a 300MB chunk monday morning when people wait for their desktops to start. WSUS is a somewhat more dynamic solution. cheers, Florian -- Microsoft MVP - Windows Server - Group Policy. eMail: prename [at] frickelsoft [dot] net. blog: http://www.frickelsoft.net/blog. Get rid of him. He's an idiot. Why do you think WSUS was invented in the first place? |
