Server Does Not Re-start After Power Fail
Hi I have recently installed a brand new ASUS computer for server (Windows 2003) and backed it up with 1250P UPS manufactured by Power Tree. I have configured the UPS for auto shut-down 5 minutes after power failure. The shut down is happening but after the power is restored, the server does not re-start. I have installed another computer and UPS of same brand but with Windows XP Professional. This one is working fine and after power failure it shuts down and re-starts automatically as configured. I have also done the BIOS setting for re-starting both the computers but the SERVER with Windows 2003 does not re-start. Can someone help me with this. Thanks a lot in advance ! -- need2learn ------------------------------------------------------------------------ need2learn's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/member.php?userid=51211 View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=986191 http://forums.techarena.in |

Otherwise, double check your assertions. -Frank |

Re: Server Does Not Re-start After Power Fail
Hi Frank Thanks for your reply. I am not sure as the machine seems fine to me because auto-shutdown is working. It is probably something to do with the operating system Windows 2003. I am not a technical guy, but just know a little by using the machines. I am anyway going to refer this to the supplier if I can not fix it myself. Any more suggestions please ?
