User My document folder issue
Each user has a home directory on the server for My Documents.
Their My Documents link points to the home directory folder. We use syncronization for laptop users. Today, the principal , of all people could not access her My Documents folder. Upon diagnosing I noticed that the My Document link in her start menu was now showing that the MY Document folder lives on the local machine, which is why she was not seeing the network folder. Any ideas on what could cause this? What is the best approach to resolve, since XP would not let me change the path for the My Document folder? We ended up blowing away the user profile on the laptop. Not sure if this was the only recourse. |
