Some machines detect an update as needed when others don't??
We have a couple groups of machines, the first group are machines that
we own and the second group are leased. Both groups are running Office 2003 SP2. The second group are all created from a newer image, and the first group are all created from an older image. Both images had Office 2003 installed into them from a network share. When office updates are deployed they are done via SMS. For some reason, there are a couple Office updates for Outlook that only the first group detects as needed, while the second group does not. This was the case with MS07-003 and its replacement, MS08-015 (both Outlook remote code patches). Any idea why only the first group is detecting the update as needed? Both groups are in the same SMS collection and recieve the same advertisements. I am thinking it has something to do with the way Office was installed on the images. |
