RE: error message

Hi,
I Have Windows XP as OS.
I started getting this message since yesterday. And confirm that did not
install any new applications. I was just trying to Turn on my windows update
but I got error message " Error number: 0x8DDD0018" and went to help and
support that's when came to know about Microsoft Communities. I followed some
instructions given there and did run few commands as mentioned after which
tried turning automatic windows update (recommended) from system in control
panel, then went to services in administrative tools when i clicked start got
error message "Error 1058: The service cannot be started, either because it
is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.' Dont
know what went wrong. Thanks awaiting for a response.
