Service Dropping with "Instrumentation Directory" error.
Hi, I have a service running on Windows 2003 Server. This service
sometimes just crashes. Nothing really being shown in the event logs except for an error message related to that service crashing that says: "Instrumentation Directory is invalid or Missing - Closing Application" Does anyone have any idea what this might mean? Thanks! |

Service should not be dropping. So trying to find out what the Event Log message above might mean. Thanks.. |

"Instrumentation Directory is invalid or Missing - Closing Application" At first I thought it was related to WMI, but after checking it wasn't. |

Re: Service Dropping with "Instrumentation Directory" error.
Hello cc77lemon@gmail.com,
This was your statement "So trying to find out what the EVENT LOG message above might mean". So if this is from the EVENTLOG please post the complete event log entry, on the properties of the event you have a 2 paper button in the right corner, click it and paste iot to the posting directly. So the complete error message, including event id and source, etc. is copied to the posting.
