I built a document on a laptop and when I copy it and try to open it on
another computer it gives me an error "The directory name is invalid" . I
have tried it on other computers and getting the same error

How are you moving it? If you are using some type of removable memory (a USB
Memory stick?), don't save or open using the REM. Always save to the local
HDD and copy to the REM, then copy back tot he local HDD and open in Word.
