Strange non-english error when opening a new document.
I have a client with a computer that is generating a two very repeatable
errors when they open a word document. They do not stop you from using word, after you click "OK" to both of them, word resumes normal functionality. The errors appear the first time you open any office document or compose a new outlook email after logging on. Here are screenshots of the two errors: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ors/error1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ors/error2.jpg Anyone have any idea what these are from, or how to get rid of them? Thanks. Pete Richards |

How scary! You don't even know what you're clicking OK to! Sorry I don't
have any clues, but I'm sure someone will. -- Suzanne S. Re: Strange non-english error when opening a new document.
Popups similar to that in English would normally be because something cannot
load on opening. This suggests a rogue add in... in this case it isn't an English add in. To test this, try starting Word in Safe Mode and see if the error recurs. From Start, Run, type in winword /a and press enter. Does Word open OK in Safe Mode? -- Terry Farrell - MSWord MVP "Pete Richards" <Pete Richards@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:9FA76694-F36C-468F-B139-A8EBB1204974@microsoft.com... >I have a client with a computer that is generating a two very repeatable > errors when they open a word document. Re: Strange non-english error when opening a new document.
Terry,
Thank you for your prompt response. I will not be at that computer to test your suggestion until Thursday, but I will update this post as soon as I find out. -Pete "Terry Farrell" wrote: > Popups similar to that in English would normally be because something cannot > load on opening.
