I'm using MS Word 2007 with MathType 6 and Microsoft equation editor.
Occasionally when I try to save, I get an error:

Microsoft Office Word
<!> A file error has occurred.
(c:\users\me\Documents\...\document.docx)
<OK>

Basically, it's impossible to save the document in this condition.

In the past I have also noticed this in PowePoint. It might be that
something gets messed up in the way the equations are embedded and MS Word
fails when it tries to save. I wish it would at least save what it could
(even if it forced you to change the name).

We don't think this is caused by the equations, but we'd like to take
a look to make sure. Next time you get this error, can you forward the
document to our Tech Support team at support@dessci.com? We'll take a
look at it and see if we can help.

Please include your MathType 6 product key (i.e., registration number)
when you send the document. If you don't know where to find your
