error message when trying to copy music from dvd backup to harddrive
the error i get is and i quote "Cannot copy Stop the lil Flip-T.I. Beef:
Data error (cyclic Redundancy check)." what the heck is that? i mean i am not a newbie when it come to computers i built this one from scratch but i have no idea what this error means. can anyone help? hope fully there is a fix for this, it's sucks had 7,000 songs on my harddrive and i lost them all and now i am trying to transfer the files from my dvd which only has 5,000 songs to my hard drive but windowswon't let me, and i seem to get this error on different pc's |

so what would cause it? would it be faulty drive? an error while writing? i
used a dvd-r to backup my music but it is a pain to restore it since it keeps giving me that error, but when i play it with windows media player all is well.
