Folder OLK195

Whenever I get a photo emailed to me that I open in Photoshop and then do
Save as, the folder I'm defaulted to is C:\Doc & Settings\myusername\local
settings\temp internet files\OLK195 and everytime Photoshop crashes. There's
files listed in this folder and I think one or more of them is corrupt which
causes the crash. I've tried to find this folder in Windows Explorer but I
can only get as far as the temp internet files folder and then Explorer
crashes. There are no subfolders listed under temp internet files. I have
Explorer set to display hidden files and folders.

My question is how can I find this OLK195 folder and delete the files in it?
I've tried searching for this folder name but it isn't found. And I've run
the disk cleanup and deleted the temp internet files but that doesn't help
either. Thanks.

Mark

On the address bar at the top, if you display it, you can try just
typing it in. Even though it does not show in the list.
I've done that rather than turn on hidden/system folders.
Its the cache for IE, and if you went into IE and cleared the cache you
should remove the files. That's the standard user method.

Have you tried to look for the problem(?) folder from a "cmd" window? It
may be more impervious to the problem which crashes Explorer. Of course the
question remains of why you use the default directory. I haven't used a
full-up version of PS in a few years but IIRC you have full control over
the working directories and other important program details to the point of
fanaticism.

How would I get to the folder from a cmd window?

As for Photoshop, I don't save the files in that directory - I always try to
navigate to a different folder. This folder is just the one the PS defaults
to but it crashes before I can select a different folder.

It's a directory used by MS Outlook for holding/saving attachments

Search for "olk195*" without the quotes.

R-click on the photo and do a "Save As" to the desired directory BEFORE
you open it in Photoshop.

missed that: OP is opening it from within Outlook.

You're absolutely right.

Re: Folder OLK195

I need to see the image before saving to determine if I want/need to save
it.
