New Hard Drive

I bought a new drive, and I am trying to install XP Pro. I am booting to the
CD drive, and it installs the files, but when I get to the menu that asks to
repair or install, I choose the install, but it won't go any further. I just
sits there. What am I doing wrong? Thanks so much.

Has the drive been formatted?
If you dig down into the options that's one of them.

Once booted from the CD, you should see options to pick the drive and
partition to use for the install.
If the drive is virgin you need to partition it so pick a drive,
probably you want all of it used, and then format it, probably NTFS.

Then the install will begin.
