New Hard Drive
I bought a new drive, and I am trying to install XP Pro. I am booting to the
CD drive, and it installs the files, but when I get to the menu that asks to repair or install, I choose the install, but it won't go any further. I just sits there. What am I doing wrong? Thanks so much. |

What am I doing wrong? Thanks so much. Do you have an upgrade version, retail version, OEM Version? |

What am I doing wrong? Thanks so much. Has the drive been formatted? If you dig down into the options that's one of them. -- Frank Saunders MS-MVP IE,OE/WM www.fjsmjs.com Do not reply with email |

If the drive is virgin you need to partition it so pick a drive, probably you want all of it used, and then format it, probably NTFS. Then the install will begin. |
