OffLine File Question
User was getting a message that some files could not synchronize. Tech did
some troubleshooting. In the course of events the Tech turned off (unchecked ) "Enable Offline Files" Files are now gone. User is quite upset since the unsychronized files are now gone. Where do these unsychronized files go when you uncheck this option? |

The general rule when unwanted file deletion has happened is to stop using the computer immediately and take it to someone who understands file recovery. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/230738/en-us for some information on where offline files are stored (before they are deleted). -- Lem -- MS-MVP To the moon and back with 2K words of RAM and 36K words of ROM. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_Guidance_Computer http://history.nasa.gov/afj/compessay.htm |
